I am back in the writing seat as of today through the weekend, and wanted to share something that I read today that could be applied to creating characters.
The item is: a character's view of the world.
Is your character a half-full, or a half-empty, person? Do they view the situations in their life as bad or good? Are they optimistic or pessimistic?
How can you tell? Well, for instance, if I were to go out and try to start my car, and it wouldn't start, some might view that as bad. But since my car is in my driveway and not on the side of a road somewhere, some might view it as good.
It is all in the perspective of the person's viewpoint on life.
I hope this helps you, and I wish you a great writing weekend ahead!
