There is nothing more efficient to get my writing juices flowing than brainstorming. Sometimes I do this with a writing friend and sometimes with my hubby.
We sit and discuss the story or plot or character and pose what if questions. Sooner or later it will evolve into major ideas flowing everywhere and the rudiments of a story come together.
If you haven't tried this I recommend it.
